HTC Hero – Yet Another Android


HTC Hero After surprising its Indian Fans with the release of HTC Magic in India, HTC hasn’t failed to surprise its fans across the globe. Here’s HTC Hero, yet another Android phone that was launched today in London, a successor of HTC Magic. HTC Hero is the first Android phone to have support for Adobe Flash for web browsing and to feature a new interface – HTC Sense. The phone will be available in Asia and North America later and for Europe, in July.

The phone features a 320×480 screen of 3.2 inches with Handwriting Recognition and Multi-touch input (you have a mini Surface Computer) and certainly, Accelerometer. There’s a 3.5mm audio jack so you can plug in your stereo headphones. Internet Connectivity is similar to that of HTC Magic. Supports Class 10 GPRS and EDGE with 32-48kbps and 236.8kbps respectively, 3G HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (2.0Mbps) and WiFi of 802.11b/g technology. There’s Bluetooth with A2DP support. It’s equipped with a 5MP autofocus camera that supports up to 2592×1944 pixels with video feature. The phone runs on its usual Qualcomm 528MHz Processor with version 1.5 of Android Operating System. With Threaded SMS View, GPS support and Digital Compass this phone for sure, is an iPhone 3GS killer which is a flash-not-supported-yet-phone. The phone supports for numerous audio(MP3,WAV,WMA,AAC) and video(H.263,H.264,MPEG-4,WMV) codec. Available in Brown and White variants with Standby and Talk time of up to 750 and 8 hours respectively on a standard Lithium Ion battery.
