Clark Masts Type 73 Portable Mast

For over 40 years Clark Masts Type 73 field mounted portable masts have been the communications backbone of many armies. The main features, such as the aluminium alloy mast sections, the winch system which controls the guys during erection, the 3-legged erection gear and the mast lifting hoist which made the first Type 73 portable mast unique, are still there today. Whilst the basic system has not changed, there have been many detail improvements. However, with each improvement the matter of interchangeability has not been neglected.

Clark Masts Type 73 is a field mounted portable mast system which operators rapidly understand and can erect with confidence, even in very adverse weather conditions. Type 73 portable masts are available as field deployable kits with extended heights of 10, 13, 16, 18, 21, 30 metres and vertical headload capabilities from 50 to 75 Kg having a horizontal component from 70 to 150 Kg.
