Common Name The Club-Shaped Scaphyglottis [refers to the clavate pseudobulbs]

Found in Panama at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing epipihyte with club-shaped pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, elliptic-lanceolate, acute to subacuminate, minutely tridentate leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, short, successively 1 to 2 flowered inflroescence arising from bract clusters.
Similar to S pulchella but differs in the smaller flowers,smaller tepals and a much narrower lip with a narrower oval, basal depression with very low ridge margin.
