Common Name The Saffron Yellow Two Winged Odontoglossum

Found in Colombia, Venezuela and Peru in wet montane forests at elevations of 2200 to 2750 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with ovoid to ellipsoid, purple spotted pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 5 to 8, distichous, imbricating, upepermost foliaceous sheaths and carrying 1 to 2 [most often] apical, oblong to linear-lanceolate, acute leaves and blooms in the winter on an axillary, arising on a newly maturing pseudobulb, ascending or arching, 8" [20 cm] long, racemose or paniculate, inflorescence with scale-like, appressed, shorter than the ovary f;loral bracts and carrying fragrant, small, spidery to slightly campanulate flowers.
