Found in Mauritius and Reunion in evergreen forests at elevations around 700 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing monopodial epiphyte with a short to no stem carrying 4 to 6, ligulate, folded in the lower third and clasping, unequally bilobed apically, rounded lobed leaves that blooms in the later spring and summer on a below the leaves, .4" [2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with 3 green bracts.
