Full sun Cool LATESpring

Common Name The Pallid Cyrtopodium

Flower Size 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm]

Found in Brazil and Paraguay in dry fields as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with erect, small pseudbulbs carrying plicate, 3-nerved, erect, linear-lanceolate leaves that blooms on a basal, erect, thin, racemose, 16 to 24" [40 to 60 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence

CAUTION!!!!!!I have more confidence in the first photo than in the other 2 as I have know Dalton for years and he is very knowledgable about Brazilian Orchids. I do not have any good references and the only other photo I can find in my literature is Lou Menezes but it is different than both of these. Hoehne has a drawing in Flora Brasilica Vol XII VI Hoehne 1942 but it is inconclusive but matches Dalton's photo best.

Synonyms Cyrtopodium pallidum fo. major Hoehne 1942
