Common Name or Meaning Popow's Cischweinfia [German Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Ecuador at elevations around 1000 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with elliptic to narrowly ovate, strongly laterally compressed, ancipitous pseudobulbs partially enveloped by several, distichous, imbricating, conduplicate, lower leafless, upper leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly lanceolate, thinly coriaceous, acute, basally conduplicate leaf that blooms on a 2.4" [6 cm] long, basal, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising on a newly matured pseudobulb through the axils of the basal sheath.
