The native range of this species is Pakistan to Taiwan and Malesia. It is a perennial or subshrub and grows primarily in the subtropical biome.

Birth control medicine. Malaria, colds with heat, tracheal branch inflammation, fall injuries, boils, itchy sores (Root, whole tree).

Distribution: 

The tree grows naturally in mountainous areas 1,600 m high in Sa Pa district, Lao Cai province.

August; October-November
