Hooked on Photography

I’ve had a camera in my hand since the age of 12, which generally annoyed my teachers at school! Whilst most of my photography is for fun, I have provided component photography for different work projects. My main focus is landscape and wild-animals.

The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Parkare great places for different aspects of photography: long lens, macro, wildlife in motion, etc. Where else can you get up-close-and-personal with your “own” snake?!

Graphic Design

I enjoy working on graphic design projects using both Illustrator and Photoshop. After creating a suite of karate posters for West Coast Martial Arts Academy, their event attendance increased significantly.  Many of my graphic design pieces have been for fun and skill development. My sons are always happy to get a new poster for their bedrooms.

I fell in love with programming when I was 16 years old. My first computer was a Sinclair ZX81 with 1K of memory. I still have my old computer with its original box! Basic was my first computer language and this was my first program…

A big “thank you” to Mrs. Stephanie Cleasby (my first computer science teacher). She was really awesome!

Whilst working at Oracle Corporation in the UK, I was selected to work on a short-term project at the company's headquarters (in the Bay Area).

It did not take long for me to fall in love with the Californian lifestyle so when an opportunity arose to move to the US on a permanent basis, I was all over it!

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
