Usually 40-60cm tall, sometimes to 1m. Leaves lanceolate, 5-10cm long. Flowers two to six per stem, saucer-shaped, rose-purple with a scattering of often ring-shaped crimson spots, summer. Western China, in mountain forest and scrub at 3300-4000m.
