Height 12-3 5cm Leaves few, 10-25cm long and 5-25mm wide, partly grown at flowering time. Flowers white, the segments tipped with green, 1.5-2.5cm long, solitary or occasionally two, drooping, spring. Central Europe in damp shady places. A n excellent garden plant for a shady position which is moist during the growing season. i s16 2 L.v. var. wagneri, is a taller more robust plant, generally with two flowers to a stem. Var. carpathicum differs in having yellow-tipped, rather than green segments.
