Botanical Description

Approximately 10-15cm tall in bloom, the bulbs long and slender and roots barely swollen. Leaves 4-8mm wide and up to 18cm long when mature, silvery-white edged. Flowers to 5cm wide, the falls pale yellow, and the standards (large for a Juno), deep purple and sharply deflexed, spring. Iran, Afghanistan and adjacent Russia in steppe country and stony slopes at 750-2000m. Alpine house.
