Botanical Description

Much like a tufted and congested G. verna with erect stems usually less than 2cm high. Leaves erect, overlapping, 3-5mm long, narrowly ovate to lanceolate with a papillose and horny margin and tip. South-eastern Alps on limestone. G.t. subsp. schleicheri (syn. G. verna var. imbricata) has spreading leaves and calyx lobes about one third as long as the corolla tube (up to half as long in terglouensis itself). Maritime Alps to Western Switzerland.
